When Tim was young, he said that his first question to God when he got to Heaven would be,
“How many hairs are on my head?”
This passage from Luke 12 tells us how intimately God our Father knows, loves and cares for us.
Our hope is that Tim’s Clinic will be a sign of this love and care to all who enter.

Tim’s Clinic for Women and Children (Consultorio Medica Tim) was dedicated on Monday, February 14th, 2005 during Hope Clinic International’s (HCI’s) 5th annual mission trip to Nicaragua.
Nicaragua, one of the poorest countries in western hemisphere, has a government sponsored health care program but with 50% of the population below the poverty level it simple cannot meet the overwhelming need. As a result although the poor are entitled to free health care they are often unable to attain it unless they pay for it through the private sector.
Tim's Clinic was established in Esteli, one of the poorest communities of Nicaragua to provide accessible care to the poor. A full-time physician and administrator are employed at the clinic, which is open five days per week. For less than $1 US, patients will see the doctor and receive all prescription medications, as well as a supply of vitamins. Patients will be able to receive regular follow-up care for chronic problems, and demographic information will be kept so that patients who need specialized care can be located when the HCI teams return.
The HCI mission team will visit Tim's Clinic on each of our future mission trips.
Background on Tim's Fund for Kids
On March 1st, 2004, Timothy Anderberg, son of Roger Anderberg, MD, pediatrician and HCI missionary, died from injuries received in a pedestrian accident. Tim, aged 24, was a lover of life and possessed a contagious joy. All who met him experienced his electric personality and warmth, and he had a particular love for children.
In Tim’s memory, his family set up “Tim’s Fund for Kids” through Hope Clinic International. Tim’s Fund will be used in direct care of Nicaragua’s children.

An annual golf outing is held each year in Maryland to raise funds for Tim's Clinic. See timmerclassic.org.
