Tim's Clinic for Women and Children

Dedicated on February 14th, 2005
in memory of Timothy Anderberg
for the women and children of Nicaragua

Tim's Clinic was established in Esteli, one of the poorest communities in Nicaragua, to provide medical care to the poor.  A full-time physician and administrator are employed at the clinic, which is open five days a week.  For about  $4 U.S., patients can see the doctor and receive all prescription medications as well as a supply of vitamins.  Patients receive regular follow-up care for chronic problems.  Demographic information is collected so that patients who need specialized care can be located when the Hope Clinic International team returns.

On March 1, 2004, Timothy Anderberg, son of Roger Anderberg, MD, pediatrician and Hope Clinic International missionary, died from injuries received in a pedestrian accident.  Tim, 24, was a lover of life and possessed a contagious joy.  All who met him experienced his electric personality and warmth, and he had a particular love for children
